Serpentine Belt, Drive Belt Replacement

Drive belts, also called serpentine belts, provide power to your vehicle’s power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, air injection pump, cooling fan, and more. If the serpentine belt breaks, all of those engine parts stop working. This can lead to your engine overheating and an expensive damage.

Bring your vehicle in to A.B.S. Auto Service. Our mechanics will check the belt for cracks, stripping, and wear, and to determine if it is at risk of failing. We recommend getting your serpentine belt inspected whenever you get your oil changed.

Screeching noises coming from the engine are a warning of a bad serpentine belt, especially when they happen during cold morning start-ups or when going around sharp turns.
