Radiator Repairs and Replacement
Does your engine keep overheating? Is a green fluid leaking from its cooling system? Do the belts need replacing? Are the engine’s hoses 4 years old or more? All of these symptoms indicate a need for you to take your vehicle in for service to its cooling system.
At A.B.S. Auto Service, we have expert mechanics who will give your vehicle a full, professional inspection of the cooling system. They will provide you with an analysis of system, a diagnosis of the problem, and an estimate of repair costs.
Engine Cooling System Services
The cooling system is made of a great number of different components that all need to work together smoothly to cool the engine. If any of these components fails, the engine can overheat.
The most common reason for a car to break down is a failure in the cooling system, even more common than a flat tire. However, unlike a flat tire, you can’t just put a spare on and be on your way. A cooling system failure means a trip on a tow truck to the repair shop. This is why it is important that you get your vehicle’s cooling system inspected regularly.
When we do a cooling system inspection, we examine and replace or repair the following components:
- Radiator
- Anti-freeze
- Radiator hoses
- Radiator cap
- Radiator fan
- Radiator fan clutch
- Cooling sensor
- Thermostat
- Fan belts
- Water pump
- Serpentine belt
- Heater hoses
- Heater core
Most manufacturers recommend that you replace the antifreeze in your radiator every two years. A.B.S. Auto Service does more than just a simple drain and refill, though: we provide a complete radiator flush and service that also includes the following extras:
- Inspect cooling system
- Add flushing chemicals to the cooling system
- Power flush system
- Perform pressure test for leaks
- Add sealant and lubricant to the cooling system
- Refill the radiator with recycled antifreeze
